Assignment 2 Poster Planning

This is the structure of the poster, obviously it is not going to look like this because it will look better. I like the structure of this so I am going to stick with this, when I create my poster I need to think about colours as the movie is set in a hood so that there will be dark, gloomy colours.

GCSE Magazine Cover So Far

Above you can see the start to my 'Fashion' magazine, a free weekly magazine which will come in the iNewspaper. As part of my GCSE Coursework Assignment 1, I have to create a magazine for a teen audience.

My magazine consists of Tulisa and Beyonce, two role models for many teens. I feel that having them on the front cover is very good to attract attention from teens.

On the right hand side of my magazine I still need to add multiple detail which will be done in the next further days.

Summer Project

FIFA 13: Produced by EA Sports

The FIFA series are one of the most well known games on all platforms, all around the world. Football itself is the worlds biggest sport, with dedicated fans all around the world, supporting and traveling with their team it would be hard to not call it the most entertaining sport as well. However, moving onto the game. You would be brave to say EA Have not gained any success from the FIFA series with them selling over 4.5 million copies of the game in the first FIVE days of release! The game itself is playable on all platforms, XBOX 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PC and even mobile phone. The FIFA games are constantly in competition with Koyami's Pro Evolution Soccer, personally i think FIFA destroys PES every year, but that is my opinion.

EA promote their game very well as they have strong links with the real world of...Football. Year after year TV Adverts are seen with professional players playing the game, possibly inspiring parents to invest in the game for their young ones.

Also if you did not know, the owners of the football industry are FIFA.

FIFA 13 is also used for people to create YouTube videos, some people that create YouTube videos on FIFA can be very popular and known in the outside world as well as the Internet.

As you can tell EA and FIFA have made a huge impact on the world. Secondly from Call of Duty they're the biggest selling franchise in the world. I enjoy the FIFA games year in year out, i highly recommend this game to all gamers. Below is the official FIFA 13 trailer.

So, above you saw the official FIFA 13 Trailer. As you can tell a very famous football 'Lionel Messi' is the main star of the game. The best player in the world in EA's prospective? With the up and coming FIFA game, FIFA 14. Lionel Messi is yet again the main character on the front cover along side Real Madrid's Gareth Bale. For people that may prefer Cristiano Ronaldo over Messi, this may prevent them for buying the game? Possibly.

On the other hand, on the Friday 27th September FIFA 14 hits stores all around the world.

Within FIFA 13 they brought a new in-game add on...Skill Games.

The skill games vary with different types of 'skills':

Shooting
Passing
Dribbling
Crossing etc.

These skill games have different types of level towards your skill level, to progress within the level you have to complete certain different skills. Watch below:

Above is a legendary shooting challenge.

Fruit Bowl (Classwork)

Above is a picture I created on Photoshop CS6 Extended, I chose an autumn vibe for the picture as I thought the autumn colours would mix perfectly.I coloured in the picture by using a picture from Google images which was flowers, I used the eyedropper tool to take colours and interpret them on the fruit bowl. After adding all the colours I increased the size of the image and used the overlay option to put it over the bowl, showing flowers in the back round you can understand the autumn vibe.

Grand Theft Auto V (Homework)

Grand Theft Auto V - produced by Rock star Games.
Within this article I describe the LIAR Technique,
- Language
- Institution
- Audience
- Representation

LANGUAGE -
The language within the poster is a white bold text highlight with  black outline, on top of the text there is a logo. The logo insists of a V with the word Five across it. (V is five).
In the bottom right hand corner the producers logo is shown, Rock star Games. The logo consists of a R with a star in the bottom right of the R, This logo is very known within the electronic industry.

INSTITUTION -
The makers of the series 'Grand Theft Auto' is Rock star Games, a world wide, billionaire company. The 'Grand Theft Auto' games are one of the most known games throughout gaming history. As you can tell they're a very big organisation which continue to bring out games other than GTA like 'Red Dead Redemption'. I feel it is important for them to have their logo on the front cover as it is well known and may encourage people to buy their games.

AUDIENCE -
This game is 18 rated, for the game to be 18 rated there must be explicit language, violence and possibly drugs. Rockstar's age rating is 18, however they may know that they have a target audience starting as young as 13 or 14 years old reaching up to 40 years of age. I believe they target 13-14 year olds but include 18 rated content.

REPRESENTATION -
Within the GTA series there has been a new character every game and with this one it is no different. However, instead of having one main character, there is now three. The game is based around their lifes and you can switch person and merge into their life with a click. The representation of GTA is very positive in the media.
